omgwtf!?

undone dreaming: There were plenty of icon communities when I made inuicons.
undone dreaming: I mean, would you guys just prefer I delete it so there 'won't be more than one'?
undone dreaming: Of course not! ... I should hope anyway. >>;
undone dreaming: I took it one step further. No one OWNS the right to have the sole community for whatever topic you pick.
undone dreaming: Damnit, if I want to have a contest on my icon community, I should be able to! If someone wants to make an awards community, LET THEM.
undone dreaming: WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE?

Now, I understand that sengoku_icons is a great awards community - but they're not the only one, and they can't be the only one. Having more than one of something, in this instance, isn't gonna hurt anyone, especially if the inuawards community decides to put their own spin on it. And to fight over -categories-? PEOPLE! Look around you! Several categories are used on SEVERAL award communities, and they're hardly original. sengoku_icons does have some original categories, and good for them! But you can't own that. There's several award shows - some for movies, some for singers, some for broadway - some for the people's choice, you know?

They have lots of similar categories. I like them all equally. I don't see anyone insulting other people or trying to have those shows shut down just because they serve the same purpose.

Now, this isn't my fight - I'm in no way involved with either of these communities, as I really don't like icon awards myself (I've got nothing against them, I just don't like doing them). However, seeing some of this take place on my community does irritate me a bit. Also, I like to think of myself as being active in the Inu-Yasha community, and most of you know I'll give my five cents whether you want it or not (and whether or not it's my business).

And, also - I've seen the numerous references to sengoku_icons on inuicons. I know you guys love that place. And I don't think evilweegee's community should be shut down just because it may or may not end up being similiar to another - and likewise, I don't think that abi_hime should shut down sengoku_icons just because some people had a moment of immaturity (that we are all guilty of).

If there was only one...one musician...one type of food. One computer dealer. One television network. One internet connection...the list goes on and on. I think we need to be a bit rational here...

sengoku_icons is a great place. inuawards has great potential. And neither one of those should be taken away.
